Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Project Director to lead and manage complex design and construction projects within the hospitality sector in Oman. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget, coupled with extensive experience in the Omani/GCC market. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of the construction industry and its regulatory landscape in Oman.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle, from conceptualization and design through to construction completion and handover. Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Lead and mentor project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors. Manage project risks and issues effectively, proactively identifying and mitigating potential problems. Ensure adherence to all relevant safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual obligations. Maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates and actively addressing concerns. Prepare and present project reports to senior management and stakeholders. Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants, designers, and governmental agencies. Contribute to the development and improvement of project management processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field). Minimum 20 years of experience in design and construction, project management, and specifically, within hospitality development projects. Minimum 8 years of experience as a Project Director managing similar projects in Oman or the GCC region. Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex construction projects on time and within budget. Extensive experience in building projects. Strong experience in consultancy services within the design and construction industry. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6). Thorough understanding of Omani/GCC construction regulations and building codes.
