Job Title: Project Cost Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Cost Engineer to manage and control project costs across fabrication and engineering projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for budgeting, cost monitoring, variance analysis, and financial reporting to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and cost control plans
• Monitor project expenditures and track actual costs versus budget
• Perform cost variance analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow statements
• Coordinate with procurement, project managers, and finance teams
• Review vendor quotations, purchase orders, and subcontractor invoices
• Support project planning, cost loading, and progress measurement
• Develop and maintain financial dashboards using Excel and Power BI
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and project cost standards
• Assist in change order evaluation and claims cost assessment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Finance
• Minimum 5 6 years of experience in project cost control
• Experience in oil & gas, steel fabrication, or engineering projects preferred
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting
• Proficient in MS Excel (advanced level) and Power BI
• Good understanding of procurement and contract administration
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
