The Project Controls Specialist is an experienced professional individual contributor with specialized knowledge and skills in Project Controls. The position will report directly to the District Project Controls Manager.

This position will be initially based in Dubai office and will be providing project controls and business support services for the International Portfolio. The role demands strong presentation and communication skills. This position is ideal for individuals with passion in data analytics and has advanced skills and expertise in excel and power BI.

Home Office Assignment \xe2\x80\x93 Responsibilities
  • Provide Project Controls support for the International Portfolio
  • Coordinate, participate and contribute in all regional review meetings as required
  • Develop, establish and maintain various Dashboard databases
  • Coordinate with project teams on site for inputs to portfolio level reports
  • Coordinate with functional managers for inputs to functional/ overhead reports
  • Organize weekly/ monthly review meetings with project teams and functional managers as required
  • Responsible for consolidation and reporting at portfolio level
  • Provide training and coaching to new hires
  • Provide support to projects on as and when required
  • Other tasks as required including but not limited to data management, general administration support etc.
Project Assignment \xe2\x80\x93 Responsibilities
  • Responsible for cost forecasting, scheduling, progress monitoring and reporting
  • Develop and maintain a fully resource loaded integrated EPC schedule
  • Facilitate weekly/ monthly updates and critical path schedule analysis
  • Participate in planning sessions of the project with PMT
  • Establish and maintain progress measurement system aligned with the execution plan
  • Preparation of conformed estimates from the as-sold estimates developed by Estimating
  • Support project team on change management
  • Participate and contribute in the risks and opportunities workshops
  • Advises Project Management of forecast risks as soon as they are identified
  • Analyze cost and schedule data and recommend solutions or recovery plans as required.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and adherence to internal controls and procedures
  • Advises Project Management of forecast risks as soon as they are identified
  • Required to update on a regular basis all required reports to client.
  • Collaboration with Finance/ Accounting on financial reporting
  • Support internal project control deliverables and regional reporting
  • Other tasks as required including but not limited to training, time keeping, administration support etc

Experience and Qualifications
  • Quantity Surveying or Engineering Diploma/ Degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant EPC experience in the Oil & Gas / Energy / Petrochemical Industry
  • Theoretical and specialized working knowledge with Primavera (P6)
  • Equivalent years of experience with Cost Control, Scheduling and Forecasting
  • Advanced level in MS applications such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Intermediate to advanced level in Power BI or similar Data Analytics software
  • Familiar with JDE or similar
