Job Description

The Company Robert Half is partnered with an international Engineering business looking to enhance their Project team, based in Dubai. The Role Is responsible for finance business partnering and project control for the entity/business in order to ensure integrity of the regional/divisional financial accounting, consolidation and (consolidated) external reporting operations.Has finance end-responsibility for large countries and business lines by focusing on finance business partnering and project control.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that include scope, schedule, and budget. This involves collaborating with various stakeholders to establish project objectives and deliverables.
  • Monitor and control project costs throughout the project lifecycle. This includes budget development, cost forecasting, tracking actual costs, and implementing cost control measures to ensure adherence to the approved budget.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks. This involves collaborating with the project team to identify potential risks by conducting risk assessments, developing risk mitigation strategies, and implementing risk monitoring and control measures.
  • Generate and present project performance reports to stakeholders. This involves analysing project data, assessing progress against established metrics, and providing accurate and timely reports on project status, risks, issues, and trends.
  • Collaborate with project managers and functional managers to ensure optimal allocation of project resources, such as personnel, equipment, and materials. Monitor resource utilization and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within project controls methodologies, tools, and systems. This includes assessing current practices, researching industry best practices, and implementing enhancements to streamline project controls processes.
  • Create and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure that the project stays on track. Works closely with the project team to establish realistic timelines, identify critical activities, and monitor schedule performance. Also play a key role in identifying potential delays, implementing mitigation strategies, and keeping stakeholders informed about the project\'s progress.
  • Ensure that policies and procedures are understood, implemented and adhered to by all employees.
The Candidate
  • 8-10 years\' experience with at least 3 years management experience
  • Project finance and Finance Business Partnering experience is mandatory
  • Good communication skills are required
  • Candidates with Engineering/Construction industry experience are preferred
