The Director - Project Controls is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the company's Business Control Service functions. The role oversees the activities of
Planning, Cost Control, Productivity, and Contracts
, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, efficient resource utilization, and project performance excellence.
Key Responsibilities and Authorities:
1. Planning
Review tender documents and prepare comprehensive tender programmes.
Oversee the development of project baselines and planning packages.
Monitor project progress and provide timely, accurate reports.
Manage subcontractor performance and progress tracking.
Handle delays, claims, and dispute management effectively.
Prepare and analyze project productivity reports.
Review and update project baselines, plans, and histograms.
Ensure project tracking tools (S-curves, tabular reports, KPIs, etc.) are in place and updated.
Analyze schedule trends, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
Issue early warnings for potential progress issues.
2. Cost Control
Develop and monitor project target budgets.
Approve project resources and materials.
Monitor and report cost performance and variances.
Revise target budgets based on project requirements.
Report on cost to completion and cost at completion.
Prepare and submit monthly cost reports.
Coordinate with Planning, Contracts, Procurement, and Finance teams.
Manage productivity across company resources to ensure cost efficiency.
3. Contracts
Manage main contracts and subcontracts.
Oversee and control change orders.
Handle claims and disputes effectively.
Ensure compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.
4. General Management
Provide leadership, support, and coordination across departments.
Attend and represent the department in internal and external meetings.
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate departmental teams.
Organize and deliver internal and external training sessions.
Ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Identify and mitigate operational and project risks.
Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new systems or software.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
20-25 years of experience in a reputed firm, with proven expertise in project controls.
Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.

Pay: AED60,000.00 - AED80,000.00 per month
