Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

To manage project costing and control function through effective project budgeting, planning, scheduling, estimation, and cost control to various engineering and construction projects in order to minimize project risks and ensure projects are executed successfully.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Strategy Development and Implementation: - Develop and direct the implementation of the departmental strategy ensuring alignment to the divisional strategy, Zamil Offshore's vision, mission and corporate objectives. - Ensure the provision of subject matter expertise for the assigned domain and provide counsel to Zamil Offshore's leadership on all related areas to facilitate the achievement of Zamil Offshore's strategy and departmental strategies.

Leadership: - Manage the effective achievement of departmental objectives through effective leadership and by setting of individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating team to maximize performance.

Budgeting and Financial Performance: - Oversee the consolidation and recommend the departmental budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/ revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.

Project Control:

- Review all project cost estimates for all projects at all stages to ensure that cost estimates are correctly based and all assumptions and qualifications are identified.

- Ensure accuracy of execution of schedule and cost risk analysis to anticipate unforeseen changes to the projects and quantify potential impact and mitigation plans.

- Participate in thorough assessments of changes to the contract work-scope to provide preliminary assessment of the impact of the change prior to proceeding with the change.

- Oversee the project planning activities to ensure they are planned and scheduled in accordance with the approved execution plan.

Project Costing / Estimation:

- Provide advice and participate in the costing of projects and tenders, manage the cost estimation calculation for different scenarios in order to recommend the most cost-effective option.

- Manage the study and analysis of project estimates following contract award to determine integrity of information, ensure that all levels of delegated authority have been observed, and make appropriate recommendations to the management when shortcomings are detected.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures:

- Develop and lead the implementation of the departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned functional so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner.

Change Management: - Lead the management of change through continuous improvement of departmental systems, processes and practices taking into account global standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, MBA, PMP Certification.

Experience:

- More than 15 years of experience in project control function. - Previous Offshore Construction experience. Schedule: Full-time Shift: Day Job Travel:
