The role will be primarily Dubai office based with travel to Iraq on a visiting basis required.

THE ROLE

Based in Dubai but with regular trips to Iraq, primarily Baghdad, the successful candidate will be accountable for the execution and leadership of the programme to the client's satisfaction, consistent with cost, schedule and contractual requirements while maintaining bottom line responsibility for financial success. Delivery of expected results for financial, HSE, client satisfaction, budget, and schedule performance.

Project description

KBR have a five plus three option year contract with the Iraq Ministry of Planning for the development of economic and physical programmes with a variety of government ministries to achieve the national development objectives. KBR are providing consultancy services on a Task Order basis covering economic master plan, project prioritisation, feasibility, technical and financial review, project management, ongoing project monitoring and negotiation support across a number of sectors.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage a large multi-disciplinary team of consultants to deliver successfully the task orders and the programme in accordance with policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the Company

Develop, implement, and monitor the overall programme as well as individual task order budgets and schedules Health, Safety and Environmental performance Client liaison and management Day to day management of KBR staff Project management reporting to the Client.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Degree and/or master's qualification in an appropriate field. MBA would be considered advantageous Minimum overall relevant experience 25 years Minimum relevant experience 12 years Minimum Regional Experience 10 years Professional memberships and charterships Sound knowledge of all aspects of a major consultancy assignment Excellent report writing and communication skills Experience of major projects in the Middle East Fluency in English language both written and spoken, Arabic speaking definitely advantageous.
