Job Description

  • Inventory & Quality Assurance Management, with the proven ability to show improvement in a continually developing environment
  • Experience in the analysis of defect data and defect reduction planning
  • Strong analytical, mathematical and data analysis capability
  • Experience with Operational Excellence (Six Sigma), Data Warehouse (DSS), Excel
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Demonstrate strong track record of team leadership within a large scale rapid and process driven environment
  • Candidates will be degree qualified in Operations, Engineering, Logistics or similar.

Amazon is looking for a Program Manager in the Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) team to drive improvements in operations and inventory quality in our evolving Amazon Fulfillment Centers (FC) of the rapidly growing MENA Market.

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:
  • Benchmark organization, process and performance across MENA Operations and engage with all key stakeholders to create a compelling ICQA plan for MENA Operations.
  • Drive the creation of MENA ICQA Standard Work, quality initiatives, process changes to enable ICQA and ultimately the Fulfillment Centers (FC) to meet and exceed Business Plans.
  • Reduce and eliminate administrative burden on ICQA teams in fulfillment centers by eliminating manual research and data entry in favor of automated systems
  • Develop and maintain programs and tools used by ICQA teams to manage quality such as ad-hoc Queries, Data Capture portals, Metric automation based on EU needs.
  • Work with MENA Program team to drive roll-out of available tools to the region.
  • Develop review and analysis of customer defect data with development of corresponding action plans to reduce defects.
  • Work closely with other MENA central functions to secure support and resources for business wide projects and initiatives.
  • Travel to MENA countries to evaluate and ensure compliance of IC/QA initiatives.
  • Will install proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across MENA
  • Be responsible for the overall coordination and evaluation of MENA projects

ICQA's mission is to achieve defect-free operations from inbound process to outbound process by reducing defects through various initiatives such as work process improvement, training, and coaching. By doing so, we are aiming at improving speed which products are ready for sale to customers, reduce operating costs, offer a wider selection of products, and reduce waste, thereby continuing to earn the trust of our customers.

  • Strong oral & written communication skills, as well as a strong technical and analytical aptitude.
  • Goal driven, target orientated, able to step back and look at the bigger picture (helicopter view), the person will also be able to manage ambiguity with their sleeves rolled up, and possess a preparedness to get involved
