Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced

Furniture Carpenter

to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craftsmanship and precision in building and assembling high-quality furniture and joinery items for residential, commercial, and retail interior fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and work from detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Fabricate and assemble furniture components such as cabinets, wardrobes, shelves, counters, and seating using various woodworking techniques. Operate carpentry tools and machinery, including saws, routers, planers, jointers, and sanders. Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, ensuring precision and proper fit. Select appropriate materials based on design specifications (e.g., plywood, MDF, hardwood, laminates, veneers). Conduct installation of furniture and fit-out elements on-site with a high level of accuracy and finish. Perform finishing tasks such as sanding, edge banding, lamination, and varnishing as required. Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards. Coordinate with project managers, interior designers, and other team members to ensure timelines are met. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a

Furniture Carpenter

or in a similar role. Strong understanding of woodworking techniques and joinery. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and technical plans. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Good eye for detail and craftsmanship. Physical stamina and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Basic knowledge of safety and health regulations in workshop and on-site environments. Certification or diploma in Carpentry or related technical field is an advantage.

Experience:

Minimum of

3 years of hands-on experience

in furniture manufacturing or carpentry within the fit-out or joinery industry.
