Job Description

A Professional Auto Painter and Mixer is responsible for preparing, painting, and ensuring the quality of automotive finishes. Their duties include surface preparation, color matching, paint mixing, applying various coats (primer, base, clear), and quality control. They also handle equipment maintenance and adhere to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities:

Surface Preparation:

This includes sanding, masking, cleaning, and repairing vehicle surfaces to ensure a smooth, flawless base for painting.

Paint Mixing and Color Matching:

Accurately mixing paints to match specific vehicle colors or customer requests, ensuring consistency and adherence to manufacturer specifications.

Paint Application:

Applying primer, base coats, and clear coats using spray guns, airbrushes, or other techniques to achieve desired finishes and ensure even coverage.

Quality Control:

Inspecting painted surfaces for imperfections, performing touch-ups, and ensuring the final finish meets quality standards.

Equipment Maintenance:

Maintaining and troubleshooting painting equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Safety and Regulations:

Adhering to all safety protocols and environmental regulations when handling paints and solvents.

Inventory Management:

Maintaining and ordering necessary supplies, such as paints, primers, clear coats, and equipment.
Skills and Qualifications:

Expertise in Auto Painting Techniques:

Proficiency in various painting methods, including spray guns, airbrushes, and other tools.

Color Matching Skills:

Ability to accurately match colors and create custom blends.

Attention to Detail:

Careful and meticulous in surface preparation and paint application to ensure a high-quality finish.

Knowledge of Automotive Paints and Materials:

Understanding of different paint types, primers, clear coats, and their properties.

Safety Consciousness:

Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to paint handling and use.

Problem-Solving:
