Job Summary:

We are looking for a

Production Support Engineer

to join our team on a 12-month extendable contract based in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will provide expert support for production systems, ensuring high availability and optimal performance. You will work with cross-functional teams to monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in live environments, contributing to system stability, application performance, and incident management.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide

L2/L3 support

for critical production systems, ensuring minimal downtime. Monitor and troubleshoot

application and system issues

in real-time, using various monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics, or similar). Perform root cause analysis and

resolve production incidents

related to applications, databases, and infrastructure. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to identify and implement

preventative measures

for recurring issues. Coordinate and support

patching, upgrades, and deployments

in the production environment. Manage

escalations

and work with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex production issues. Maintain and update

documentation

for troubleshooting, incident handling, and system procedures. Ensure compliance with

service-level agreements (SLAs)

for incident response and resolution times. Support

disaster recovery

and business continuity processes. Work with

application monitoring tools

to ensure high availability and performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in

Computer Science

,

Information Technology

, or a related field. Proven experience in

production support roles

, managing large-scale applications and systems. Strong knowledge of

incident management

and

root cause analysis

techniques. Proficiency in

monitoring tools

such as Splunk, AppDynamics, or similar. Experience with

database management

, including SQL and troubleshooting database-related issues. Hands-on experience with

Linux/Unix

systems and command-line tools. Understanding of

application deployment

processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible). Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Preferred (Optional) Skills:

Experience with

cloud environments

(AWS, Azure, GCP) and related production support tools. Familiarity with

DevOps practices

and

CI/CD pipelines

.

ITIL certification

or experience working in ITIL-based environments.
