Supervise blasting, coating, painting, and finishing activities on site or in the workshop.
Allocate manpower, equipment, and materials as per project requirements.
Monitor surface preparation, coating application, and curing processes in line with international standards (e.g., ISO, SSPC, NACE).
Quality & Compliance
Ensure strict adherence to specifications, procedures, and quality control standards.
Support inspections and testing (DFT, adhesion, holiday detection, etc.).
Coordinate with QA/QC team for documentation, approvals, and reporting.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Enforce compliance with company HSE policies and client site safety rules.
Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and ensure use of PPE.
Report and investigate near misses, incidents, or unsafe conditions.
People Management
Supervise and motivate a team of blasters, painters, and helpers.
Monitor attendance, productivity, and discipline among team members.
Provide training and mentoring on proper techniques and safety practices.
Coordination & Reporting
Liaise with project engineers, clients, and subcontractors for smooth execution.
Prepare daily progress reports and update project status.
Assist in material requisition and inventory management.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Industrial, or Coating Technology (preferred).
Experience:
2+ years in corrosion protection / industrial coating industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Skills:
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
