Job Description

The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and within quality standards. This role is responsible for leading a team of production employees, managing workflow, monitoring performance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise, coordinate, and schedule daily production activities to meet production targets and delivery timelines. Lead and motivate production staff to achieve performance, safety, and quality objectives. Monitor production processes and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal productivity. Ensure all employees follow company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures. Train and develop production team members on proper equipment use, safety, and quality procedures. Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, and engineering teams to resolve production issues. Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation. Monitor inventory levels of materials and coordinate with the supply chain for replenishment. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to production employees. Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (preferred). 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods. Proficient in production planning, scheduling, and reporting. Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends or nights as required. Familiarity with ERP or manufacturing software systems.
