Job Description

We are currently hiring for a Production Planning Engineer to be based in Dubai for our group company into Valve manufacturing for the Oil & Gas Industry.

Roles and Responsibilities Developing and implementing material planning and inventory control strategies to ensure that materials are available when needed for production. Forecasting and analyzing material requirements to ensure that inventory levels are optimized while minimizing costs. Coordinating with procurement & logistics to ensure that raw materials and components are available on time and in the required quantities. Creating production plans and schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and available resources. Monitoring production progress and adjusting plans as needed to ensure that delivery deadlines are met. Analyzing production data to identify areas for improvement and implementing solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Collaborating with other departments to ensure that production plans are aligned with sales forecasts and customer demand. Release job cards relating to product and assemblies an close job cards when completed. Works daily with Production superiors developing the maturity of the production planning systems in support of business goals and a continuous improvement initiative. Evaluates production statistics and their impact to the production schedule. Reports major variances from plan to appropriate management personnel along with a course correction action plan for managing issues as they arise. Revises and reschedules shop orders when necessary. Confirms and releases Job card for Machining and assembly, with drawings, and additional documents when necessary to support the manufacturing process. Attend regular meetings to develop priorities which are in line with Sales/Customer requirements. Plan outsourced activities and coordination with Purchasing. Using ERP, report capacity required, including overtime needs, per build schedule and business planning. Daily review of transactions in ERP to ensure on-time and accurate processes of transactions between production & Stores. Participate in cost reductions and productivity improvement programs.

Desired Candidate Profile Diploma/ Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial) Minimum experience of 5 years in Production planning role in valve manufacturing company Should have worked in a valve manufacturing company. Product Knowledge (Ball valve, Gate, globe, check, butterfly valves) Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
