Position Overview
This Production Operations Manager role oversees end-to-end blending, filling, and production operations for lubricants, greases, speciality oils, ADNOC Blue, and GRP-III base oils through toll blending partners and in-house facilities. The position ensures timely execution of production schedules, strict compliance with ISO standards, efficient material handling, inventory accuracy, and continuous optimization of lube production and base oil terminal operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate blending and filling schedules with toll blending companies based on weekly and daily production programs
  • Issue daily blending and filling plans and track bulk delivery schedules in coordination with planning and stores
  • Prepare monthly cost of goods sold (COGS) for all lubricant and grease products
  • Oversee daily blending, grease manufacturing, and bulk delivery operations ensuring ISO 9001:2015 compliance
  • Release production orders, monitor material requirements, and supervise raw and packaging material issuance
  • Verify correct product formulations with QC laboratory and coordinate adjustments as needed
  • Supervise sampling, testing, and quality approval prior to filling operations
  • Oversee filling operations across buckets, drums, and other packaging lines while ensuring safety and quality compliance
  • Lead GRP-III base oil terminal operations including vessel discharge, storage, truck loading, and loss/gain monitoring
  • Maintain product quality, operational standards, and compliance with storage agreements
  • Manage ADNOC Blue production, raw material receiving, off-loading, storage, and filling operations
  • Coordinate re-blending of slow-moving products to enhance value and reduce waste
  • Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly measurements of base oil and additive tank levels and prepare stock statements
  • Manage receipt, sampling, and discharge of additives and vessel cargo, ensuring quality, sequencing, and contamination control
  • Support ISO audit preparation, non-compliance reporting, document control, and updating of ISO 9001 documentation
  • Monitor budgets, costs, manpower requirements, inventory losses, and toll blending operational expenses
  • Prepare daily blending reports, monthly stock statements, and production summaries
  • Track strategic business objectives using balanced scorecard methodology
  • Support engineering and project teams on expansion projects, HAZOP, HSEIA, HAZID, and risk assessments
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 10 years of experience in oil and gas, specifically lubricant/grease/speciality oil production
  • Minimum 6 years in a managerial role overseeing production or blending plant operations
  • Strong expertise in blending, filling, lube production technologies, and base oil storage operations
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, quality control, material handling, and manufacturing standards
  • Experience with vessel discharge operations, contamination control, and terminal logistics
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple production streams, toll blenders, and cross-functional teams
