The Production Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the bakery's production process. This includes planning, supervising, and coordinating production activities, managing staff, ensuring product quality, and optimizing efficiency to meet business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production management, leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily bakery production operations, ensuring efficiency and product quality.
Develop and implement production plans to meet demand forecasts and delivery schedules.
Supervise and train production staff, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products; coordinate with procurement.
Maintain equipment and coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
Monitor and control production costs, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
Implement quality control standards and conduct regular inspections.
Prepare and present reports on production performance, productivity, and quality.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and product consistency.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or related field (preferred).
Proven experience (5+ years) in a production management role, ideally in bakery, food manufacturing, or FMCG.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
In-depth knowledge of production processes, HACCP, HAZOP, and food safety standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in production management software and MS Office applications.
