Job Description

Key Responsibilities

:

Plan and coordinate daily activities for block mold fabrication, including cutting, welding, machining, assembly, and finishing. Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files to ensure mold dimensions and tolerances meet design specifications. Work closely with design and estimation teams to understand mold complexity and production feasibility. Ensure efficient use of machines such as CNC, milling, lathe, EDM, and welding equipment. Monitor workflow, lead time, and material usage to reduce wastage and enhance efficiency. Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all fabrication processes. Supervise quality checks at various stages of mold fabrication to ensure dimensional accuracy and durability. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions with the team. Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all tools and machinery are well-maintained. Maintain documentation for production reports, job cards, and material usage logs. Adhere to workplace safety and health regulations and ensure compliance among team members.

Qualifications

:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in mold or tool fabrication (preferably in block or precast mold manufacturing). Solid understanding of mold design, machining processes, and fabrication techniques. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and using CAD/CAM software. Hands-on experience with welding, grinding, and precision machining. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and process improvement techniques. Strong leadership and communication skills with a practical approach to problem-solving.
