Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Leaders, Specialists, Machinists, Welders and Assembly and Test operators in managing machining, welding and Assembly and Test functions and execution of production plan. Ensures manufacturing processes and work:flow meet safety, health, process and product quality requirements. Strives for operational efficiency and effectiveness through manufacturing improvement programs, quality transformation, lean methodology, new and relevant manufacturing concepts, and advanced manufacturing technology. Key responsibilities: * Forecast production requirements to achieve production targets. * Minimise throughput time and work in process inventory using Planning and Scheduling tool. * Optimise resources to meet manufacturing KPIs, and customers delivery in accordance to planned schedule and customer requirements. * Reduce cost of non:quality through periodic analysis of non:conformance, effective root cause analysis and prevention actions * Motivate and building team spirit among the technicians and leaders to boost employee productivity and morale * Initiate work safety programs to drive toward zero incident at the workplace * Drive cost reduction initiatives to meet business challenges SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Indicate in terms of budget, revenue, number of employees supervised with reference to Solid Line Reporting. E/N Duties and Responsibilities E Strategy * Manages effort to provide manufacturing support to Product Teams and Functional Operations Groups through producibility reviews, process designs, N/C programming and other support as needed. * Leads implementation of formalised improvement plans to improve the effectiveness of the KSA Plant. * Interface with Singapore Hub and Global REMS Operations and Best Practices Councils to implement global best practices, align business strategy in line with growth and competitiveness for the site. E Execution * Lead and facilitate efforts to achieve manufacturing safety, quality, delivery and cost reduction goals and targets. * Interact with different functions in ensuring capacity (tooling, equipment) and resource (manpower, competency) meet organisational objectives. * Develop and maintain systems for production processes of all products manufactured in:house in the region. Standardise and alignment of processes, policies, and procedures for manufacturing and testing. Redesign processes to improve throughput and reduce manufacturing costs. * Formulates and implements annual improvement plans with established targets and timing in support of the Business Strategy and Manufacturing Transformation. Communicates and drive business priorities and manufacturing requirements to the team and ensuring commitment to meet or exceed expectations.
