Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and control fabrication activities to meet project deadlines and production targets.
Supervise shop floor operations including cutting, welding, fitting, and assembly of structural steel components.
Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Coordinate with design, QA/QC, procurement, and project management teams for smooth workflow.
Optimize resource utilization (manpower, machines, materials) for cost-effective production.
Monitor daily production progress and prepare reports for senior management.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
Manage and train production staff to maintain performance and productivity.
Handle client inspections and ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., AWS, ISO, ASME, etc.).
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 6 years of experience in GCC structural steel fabrication, with at least 3 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
Strong technical knowledge of steel fabrication processes, equipment, and welding techniques.
Excellent leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Certifications:
PMP (Project Management Professional)
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
NEBOSH/IOSH certification (for safety awareness)
