Role Responsibility:

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for planning, organizing, managing, coordinating and controlling the bus manufacturing process in its

entirety. Full responsibility on delivering the expected output from the factory with the required efficiency and quality

levels.

Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of LEAN Manufacturing principles in all production areas. Main

guardian of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost in the manufacturing environment.

Responsible for the implementation of new systems and bus models in the line in accordance with the engineering

product and process engineers.

Will have people and budgetary management responsibility.

Qualifications and Experience:

Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree preferred (HNC, City & Guilds). Licentiateship, Tec Higher Professional Diploma, NVQ level 4. Professional (or working towards) accreditation with an industry related body. Proven track record within manufacturing management. Ability to design processes and layouts. Experience of FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis), Kaizen/A3 (continuous improvement and problem solving),
process improvement, and Poka Yoke (error proofing) techniques.

Significant work experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably automotive. Experienced with several systems, expert in at least one area and working knowledge of a number of other areas
of specialization.

Full understanding of design and production costs including waste, downtime, scrap, and re-work.
