The Production Incharge is responsible for planning, supervising, and controlling all production activities related to aluminium, glass, and facade systems. The role ensures timely fabrication, quality compliance, optimal use of manpower and materials, and coordination with design, procurement, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Control
Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly production activities as per project requirements.
Ensure production targets are achieved within approved timelines.
Monitor work progress and adjust schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
Supervision & Workforce Management
Supervise foremen, machine operators, fabricators, and helpers.
Allocate manpower efficiently to maximize productivity.
Conduct toolbox talks and daily work briefings.
Aluminum & Glass Fabrication
Oversee fabrication of:
Aluminum doors, windows, curtain walls, shopfronts, skylights, pergolas, and facade systems
Glass cutting, tempering coordination, lamination, and IGU handling
Ensure fabrication is in accordance with approved shop drawings and specifications.
Quality Control
Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved samples, and QA/QC standards.
Conduct in-process inspections to avoid rework and wastage.
Coordinate with QA/QC Engineer for final inspection and approvals.
Material & Inventory Control
Coordinate with Procurement and Stores for timely availability of:
Aluminium profiles
Glass
Hardware, accessories, sealants, and consumables
Minimize material wastage and control scrap generation.
Machine & Equipment Management
Ensure proper use and maintenance of fabrication machines (cutting, polishing, crimping, drilling, glass processing).
Report machine breakdowns and coordinate repairs.
Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate with:
Design / Engineering team for drawings and revisions
Project & Site teams for delivery schedules
Procurement for materials and consumables
Prepare daily and weekly production reports.
Update management on production status and challenges.
Health, Safety & Housekeeping
Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company safety policies.
Maintain clean and organized factory premises.
Enforce proper use of PPE.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of aluminium systems and glass fabrication processes
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
Leadership and team management skills
Time management and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of UAE construction standards and facade practices
Qualifications
Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering (preferred)
Technical certification in aluminum fabrication is an advantage
Experience
Minimum
5-8 years
experience in aluminum and glass fabrication
At least
2-3 years
in a supervisory or production incharge role
UAE / GCC experience preferred
