At least 1 year of experience in a plant in the meat & poultry processing (Beef, Lamb & Chicken)
Experience in fresh/frozen meat/poultry production
Monitor and ensuring that all personnel adhere to work instructions and procedures
Analyze production targets and breakdown into objectives for each workstation per shift
Responsible for optimizing machine efficiencies, controlling wastage, determining, and analyzing yield
Conduct studies to discover ways to improve the efficiency of production processes
Self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative and sense of urgency, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Reduce the amount of defects or nonconforming products by providing reports to management
Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials and processed food products
Stock control of all raw and finished goods and monitor shelf life and expiry dates, reporting issues to management
Coordinate with Quality Manager and ensure Production Team follows HACCP
Coordinate with Quality Team to ensure customer complaints are investigated and resolved
Ensure employee development, training and mentoring and providing skills development
Ensure preventative maintenance is carried out on all equipment
Ensure operators have the necessary training with regards to preventative maintenance and operations
Ensure customer service levels by producing quality products and as per the agreed specs
