Job Purpose:

To prepare accurate project cost estimations and technical submittals related to metal ceiling works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards. The role bridges technical coordination, documentation, and cost estimation to support sales and project execution teams.

Key Responsibilities:Estimation:

Study tender documents including drawings, specifications, and BOQs. Perform quantity take-offs from architectural and structural drawings for metal ceiling components. Analyze material, labor, and time requirements to prepare cost estimates. Request and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Prepare detailed estimation sheets and submit competitive proposals on time. Coordinate with the procurement team to validate material costs and availability.

Technical Submittals:

Prepare and submit technical submittals including material data sheets, shop drawings, compliance statements, and mockup documentation for metal ceiling systems. Ensure submittals comply with project specifications and international standards (e.g., ASTM, BS, ISO). Coordinate with design, QA/QC, and procurement departments to gather the required data for submittals. Follow up with consultants/clients for approvals and revisions if needed.

Coordination & Support:

Assist project teams during the handover of approved submittals and estimation data. Provide technical support to site engineers and project managers related to ceiling system installation. Maintain documentation and logs for submittals, estimates, revisions, and approvals.

Qualifications & Skills:Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.

Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in estimation and technical submittals for metal ceilings or architectural metal works.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office (Excel, Word), and estimation software. Knowledge of ceiling systems including lay-in tiles, concealed systems, linear ceilings, baffles, and custom ceiling designs. Familiarity with local and international codes and material specifications.

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and technical writing skills. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
