Adecco Middle East is looking for a Product Specialist - Genomics for one of our reputed clients based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Location: Abu Dhabi

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for genomics data within the Real World Data Analytics and Evidence Platform Team.
  • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to define requirements and prioritize product requirements and roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business goals in the field of genomics.
  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of genomics data from various sources, such as next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, to uncover valuable insights and trends.
  • Support development of analytical models, algorithms, and data visualization techniques specifically tailored to genomics data, enabling the extraction of meaningful information and providing actionable insights to users.
  • Work closely with data scientists and engineers to establish robust data processing pipelines, data integration strategies, and data quality assurance processes for genomics data.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in genomics data analysis, including data standards, bioinformatics tools, and industry trends, leveraging this knowledge to drive innovation and enhance the product\'s genomics capabilities.
  • Engage in user testing, feedback gathering, and iterative design processes to ensure a seamless user experience and continuously improve product features and functionality related to genomics data analysis.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams, customers, and stakeholders regarding genomics data-related inquiries and challenges.
  • Foster effective communication between technical and non-technical teams, translating complex genomics concepts and insights into easily understandable terms for stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in a relevant field, such as bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience (4 years) working with genomics data, preferably in the context of real-world data analytics or evidence generation.
  • Strong understanding of genomics data sources, including next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, genetic variant calling, and related data standards (e.g., FASTQ, VCF).
  • Proficiency in genomics data analysis techniques, statistical methods, and data visualization tools specifically tailored to genomics data.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or bioinformatics tools for genomics data manipulation, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Familiarity with data integration, data processing, and data quality assurance methodologies for large-scale genomics datasets.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices related to the use of genomics data in healthcare research and analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically in the field of genomics.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex genomics ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
  • Prior experience in healthcare or life sciences industries, particularly in genomics research or clinical genomics, is highly desirable.
