The National, the leading English-language news organisation in the Middle East, is looking to hire a product manager to develop The National's suite of multi-channel products and services. Across web, app, social and email, our digital platforms are the showcase for our brand, content and reporters, so their continued evolution is critical to our business, driving the reach and impact of our journalism. Our product managers harness audience needs and insights while also working with stakeholders within the company (editorial, design, marketing, commercial etc.) to gather and shape requirements. They then partner closely with our in-house development team - and third party suppliers/platforms - to ensure successful releases, iterations and launches, as well as implementation and maintenance of new tools and publishing workflows for the newsroom. The role incorporates project management aspects, and is also expected to contribute a working knowledge of best practices across UI/UX, SEO and analytics. Moreover, candidates should be passionate about digital media and innovation in the industry, understanding our users, meeting key KPIs and enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary digital department including development, data, platform editors and audience teams.
