Our client is a research-based biopharmaceutical company headquartered in America. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced candidate to join as a Product Manager in Dubai.
Project Duration: Renewable contract engagement
Department/BU: HIV/Oncology
Education & Experience
Bachelor\'s degree in marketing or related fields required.
Advanced degree is desired.
Therapeutic Area knowledge preferred
Management
Coordinates projects with external agencies, including advertising, public relations and medical education vendors on the development of programs, presentations and promotional materials.
Project Involvement
Takes the lead on tactical projects within the department.
May serve as a team representative on cross-functional projects.
Key Differentiating Contributions
As an individual contributor, responsible for executing Marketing goals and objectives based on guidance and recommendations from senior management.
May have ownership of a particular brand including the day-to-day management of materials, messaging, and budget adherence as defined by the strategic direction provided by Marketing leadership.
Using defined templates, responsible for developing, revising, or refreshing data for visual aids and promotional material and shepherding collateral materials through the Promotional Review Committee.
Coordinates vendors involved in the development of medical education presentations and obtaining legal and medical reviews of content.
May make recommendations to more senior members of the Marketing team on new types of collateral materials or promotional programs and participate in the development of guidelines for external vendors.
Understands the difference between various types of market research and knows how to interpret the results.
Begins to understand the relevance of their role and how their work impacts the overall business.
Demonstrates intellectual curiosity about the business landscape.
Marketing Operations
Responsible for updating and maintaining data for the systems that support Sales and Distribution.
Able to communicate system-related capabilities or limitations in a clear and concise manner to non-systems professionals.
Compiles data used by more senior members of Marketing Operations for analysis of system performance.
Job Responsibilities
Coordinates outside vendor contracts and works to support product sales.
Maintains sound business relationships with all identified key customers/influencers.
Leads and implements support programs at the field, Community or Key Opinion Leader (KOL) level.
Liaises effectively with the key client groups including field sales, Key Opinion Leaders and
key Community Liaisons to ensure correct dissemination of the product messages.
Provides support for team on tactic development and implementation.
Supports area of specialty on Promotion Review Committee (PRC) to ensure proposed tactics are reviewed and signed off in alignment with the company policies.
Leads and implements internal communications plan related to products or marketing strategies.
Assists in development of branding, messaging and positioning marketing for product within an area of focus (Promotions, Opinion Leader Program, etc.).
Analyzes moderately complex problems and situations, provides logical recommendations and leads any required action planning.
Proposes priorities in circumstances of continued complexity and conflicting requirements.
Assist in development of non-routine plan of action or may independently develop routine plan of action.
Interfaces with market research to ensure market and competitive learning is translated to the brand team.
Ensures all marketing activities are in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
Promotions
Assists product management team with the implementation of product strategy and brand planning.
Makes recommendations for promotional budgets and local product development budgets.
At the affiliate level may have overall responsibility for brand tactics under guidance of the Marketing Director.
Opinion Leader Program
Works with external speakers on training materials and may participate in the development of slides with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL).
Conducts Speaker Bureau management on multiple levels including field force, vendor and internal partnerships (Sales Ops).
Provides training opportunities for speakers.
Manages the marketing budget and project timelines.
May manage agency relationships to develop promotional materials.
Leads and implements internal communications plan.
Knowledge & Skills
Must be proficient in MS Office, quantitative analysis and forecasting tools.
Must have demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects/priorities.
Must have strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
Proven analytical skills required.
Working knowledge and experience with pharmaceutical markets and customers.
Must be able to develop skills and knowledge of how to build and leverage a product development program.
Demonstrated strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills required.
Demonstrated understanding and experience with sales promotion and/or selling techniques.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development and writing of business plans is required.
Proven ability to interact with employees from a variety of functional areas.
Understanding of the health care system and its influence on the pharmaceutical business and products preferred.
