Job Overview TE Connectivity's Product Engineering Teams optimize existing products from information or input provided by marketing, customers, Operation Teams, Development Engineers or other employees. They maintain existing products, processes, and specifications including modifications for new applications consistent with manufacturing techniques and economies. They also initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, and cost, while meeting customer requirements and may support and implement product extensions to existing platform products to meet specific customer requirements. They are the key experts in the products they are responsible for at TE.

Responsibilities

. Mainly take charge of the design of Heat Shrink Machine and Tools. Support on Connector seating machine if need. . Establish concept prototype, develop/design new products per the assigned tasks, and test the performance. Work with other colleagues to finish the assigned projects. . Ensure new designs meet functional and safety requirements and are compliant with industry standards (CE, UKCA, UL, Low Voltage Directive, EMC and RoHS and REACH). . Provide technical support to supplier to improve process and cost. Work with local suppliers to get prototypes manufactured and tested, make the conduct capability studies. . Provide engineering support for Installation Equipment used and sold to the Aerospace markets for installing heat shrink tubing, solder sleeves and molded parts onto harnesses. . Analyze customer or other BU demand, design the customized products. . Support PM and sales to promote AT product, and support FSE to fix problems. . Communicating and resolving technical issues for legacy product with internal and external customers.

What your background should look like:

. Bachelor degree in mechatronics, mechanical, electrical engineering or relevant, 2-5 years design experience. Or master degree in mechatronics, mechanical, electrical engineering or relevant, 1-2 years design experience. . Strong design/development skill, good at mechatronics design. . Experience with machines and electric tools development from concept to industrialization (VOC, DOE, FMEA). . Experience with selection of Electrical components and finding equivalent parts. . Experience using 3D Modeling software - PTC Creo preferred. . Knowledge of PLC, machine controls and/or vision systems is a plus. . Capable of working under limited or no supervision, will take ownership and accountability for project tasks. . Ability to work with multicultural engineering teams. . Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously . Familiar with Microsoft Office programs. . Strong tasks management and problem-solving skills. . Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) . Willingness to travel as necessary and other regions.
