Key Responsibilities:

- Define product specifications based on internal and external stakeholder requirements.
- Create digital and print drawings using advanced design software.
- Design visually appealing, fully functional products that align with market trends and consumer needs.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements.
- Identify opportunities for new product development and improvement of existing products.
- Visualize concepts using tools like VRED/Keyshot and translate them into prototypes.
- Analyze market needs and consumer preferences to develop user-friendly products.
- Conduct material and technique research to ensure design feasibility.
- Sketch product drafts on paper or digitally using tools like Rhino, Grasshopper, CAD, or Photoshop.
- Utilize 3D modelling software to create products and components.
- Develop prototypes, test functionality, and iterate designs based on user feedback.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Design, Quality, Procurement) and external partners (clients, subcontractors, main contractors) throughout the product development lifecycle.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Design, Integrated Design, or Industrial & Product Design.
- 810 years of experience in product design, with a strong background in the automotive sector (upstream processes).
- Extensive portfolio showcasing advanced design skills and successful product launches.
- Proficiency in design software including CAD tools (Autodesk Alias, Rhino 3D), rendering tools (Keyshot, VRED), and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of design methodologies (DFM/DFA/DFMEA), materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in design sketching, rapid prototyping, and usability testing.
- Knowledge of user-centered design principles and iterative design processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to gather and apply user feedback for design enhancements.
- Creativity in mixing colours, shapes, and techniques.
- Strong collaboration skills for working across interdisciplinary teams.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, design tools, and emerging technologies.
- Work in a dynamic, cutting-edge environment where innovation is a priority.
