Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a prestigious and top-tier manufacturer of specialised building materials in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Our client is actively seeking a dynamic and seasoned Head of Procurement, Supply Chain, and Logistics with experience in wood-based panel products or related sectors to spearhead their supply chain operations, further elevate efficiency, and uphold their competitive advantage.

Your Role: As a pivotal figure in this role, you\'ll be instrumental in optimizing the company\'s supply chain, procurement, and logistics functions. Your responsibilities encompass strategic procurement, supply chain management, supplier relationship management, logistics and distribution, cost control and budgeting, team leadership and development, risk management, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Procurement: Develop and execute procurement strategies aimed at securing reliable and cost-effective sources of raw materials while upholding quality standards.

- Supply Chain Management: Oversee demand forecasting, inventory management, and production scheduling to ensure on-time deliveries and minimize production bottlenecks.

- Supplier Relationship Management: Foster and sustain strong supplier relationships, engage in contract negotiations, and continually monitor performance to drive quality improvement and cost-effectiveness.

- Logistics and Distribution: Lead transportation, warehousing, and product distribution, optimizing routes and minimizing lead times to guarantee punctual deliveries.

- Cost Control and Budgeting: Implement cost-saving measures, monitor budgets, and track key performance indicators to enhance operational efficiency and reduce expenses.

- Team Leadership and Development: Provide robust leadership to a team of procurement, supply chain, and logistics professionals, creating a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions, shortages, and regulatory compliance issues.

- Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvement initiatives, implement best practices, and stay abreast of industry trends and technologies to enhance supply chain and logistics operations.

Requirements

- Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master\'s degree preferred).

- A proven track record of 8-10 years in supply chain, procurement, and logistics roles, with at least 3-5 years in leadership positions.

- Profound knowledge of procurement strategies, supply chain optimization, and logistics management.

- Previous experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly in wood-based panel products or related sectors, is highly advantageous

- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- An analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision-making.

- Proficiency in utilizing supply chain management software and tools.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
