Procurement Specialist - Strategic Sourcing & Contract Management
We are hiring a Procurement Specialist to support strategic sourcing initiatives, contract management, and cost optimization for Majid Al Futtaim in Dubai, UAE. This role will focus on managing procurement processes across multiple categories including services, technology, real estate, and marketing, ensuring compliance and value creation in every sourcing decision.

What Does a Procurement Specialist Do?
The Procurement Specialist supports category leads in the development of sourcing strategies, supplier engagement, contract negotiations, and the execution of procurement best practices. The role ensures all sourcing activities align with legal, operational, and business performance objectives.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Support the category strategy and budgeting process in alignment with Category Heads
- Drive sourcing activities for new projects, ensuring milestones and timelines are met
- Conduct spend analysis and market research to develop cost-saving sourcing strategies
- Prepare RFx documents, analyze bids, and quantify total cost of ownership (TCO)
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and finalization of supply contracts and letters of intent
- Monitor supplier performance and manage key vendor relationships
- Regularly report on sourcing progress, outcomes, and commercial benefits
- Ensure full compliance with internal procurement policies and local regulatory frameworks
- Participate in continuous improvement of procurement processes and governance
- Use procurement systems such as SAP Ariba and digital tools for procurement operations
What Skills Are Needed for a Procurement Role in Dubai?
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing
- Preferred experience in indirect and direct procurement across diverse categories
- Familiarity with SAP Ariba, e-RFx tools, and contract management platforms
Skills:
- Deep understanding of sourcing lifecycle and supplier relationship management
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills with business and legal risk awareness
- Knowledge of local laws and global procurement compliance standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects and influence business decisions
- Certifications like MCIPS, CIPS, or APICS-CSCP are preferred
