About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Engineer with a proven track record in the

fit-out contracting sector

in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate understands the fast-paced nature of commercial and residential fit-out works, has strong supplier networks in the UAE, and can balance technical evaluation with cost, quality, and lead-time management.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end procurement for all fit-out project materials, finishes, joinery items, MEP-related components, and specialist products. Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs to identify procurement requirements. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers/subcontractors to secure competitive pricing, optimal terms, and reliable delivery schedules. Prepare comparison sheets, technical evaluations, and vendor/subcontractor recommendations for management approval. Issue purchase orders and contracts in line with project timelines and company procedures. Monitor supplier performance, deliveries, and adherence to quality standards. Coordinate closely with Project Managers, QS, Design, and Site Teams to ensure materials align with project specifications and are delivered on time. Manage procurement logs and track all orders to avoid delays or site disruptions. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value-engineering options without compromising quality. Maintain an updated database of approved suppliers, subcontractors, and material vendors in the UAE market. Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and local regulations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical) or related field. Minimum

3-6 years of UAE experience

in

fit-out contracting procurement

(mandatory). Strong understanding of materials used in interior fit-out, joinery, and MEP works. Proven negotiation skills and vendor-management capability. Excellent knowledge of UAE (especially Abu Dhabi) supplier markets. Familiarity with procurement software, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems. Strong communication, documentation, and coordination skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple concurrent orders.

Preferred Attributes

Existing supplier/subcontractor network in the UAE fit-out industry. Experience handling fast-track projects with tight deadlines. Detail-oriented, commercially sharp, and proactive in problem-solving.
