Procurement Representative Analyst Championx

Job Description

ChampionX has an immediate need for a Procurement Representative - Direct Materials based in Dubai, UAE. The role is responsible for market research - chemicals categories, process - RFQ & Alternative Supplier approval along with preparing procurement performance reports. This position reports to a Director or Manager within the procurement organization.

What You Will Do:

Follow safety policies to provide a safe workplace for all employees and supports the guiding principles of Goal Zero to continually improve the plant\xe2\x80\x99s safety, health and environmental performance, security, design, development, manufacture, storage, marketing, distribution, use and ultimate safe disposal of chemical products. Drive culture of safety; Report safety observations / incidents.

Supports and is committed to the Quality Improvement Process. Plans strategies to ensure error-free work by \xe2\x80\x9cdoing it right the first time\xe2\x80\x9d and conveys this attitude in the daily performance of various duties, in our drive continuous improvement.

Ensure compliance to purchasing policy and SOP requirements.

Developing supply market knowledge (supply, demand, cost price analysis) on different chemicals.

Analyze and forecast economic trend from market view and recommend strategic buying opportunities based on supply/demand position in market.

Analyzing commodity value chain and design should cost models for Important materials.

Developing framework on evaluating our purchasing against feedstock movement.

Impact determination from any disruption-macroeconomics, logistics, legislations on the supply and price of the product.

Create and present market trends on quarterly basis to marketing and business teams.

Support monthly forecast information with the managers in the region.

Manage Arbitrage Activity between the regions.

Preparing the framework of SWOT, PESTLE, Value Chain and Porter analysis in evaluating the industries and supply countries.

Minimum Education & Experience:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in chemical engineering with MBA

5 years of work experience in direct materials procurement in Chemical or O&G industry

Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office Suite & Power BI Dashboard.

Region Details:

The role is focused on Eastern Hemisphere based out of UAE office.

The working hours are standard UAE working hours however may require flexibility to cater to EU & AP.

No or minimum travel needed.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in chemical engineering

7 years of work experience in strategic procurement, Strategy and Analytics

Proficient in Project Management Tools.

Strong analytical skills with aptitude for market research, product chemistries.
