Procurement Officer - Water and Wastewater Treatment

Location: Saif Zone, Sharjah

Department: Procurement / Supply Chain




Salary : range AED 5000-7000

About the Role

We're looking for a Procurement Officer to join our team and take charge of sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing critical equipment, materials, and services for water and wastewater treatment projects. You'll play a key role in ensuring procurement activities align with project timelines, budgets, and compliance standards.



Key Responsibilities

A Source and evaluate suppliers for mechanical, electrical, civil, and chemical components.

A Prepare and manage RFQs, RFPs, and tender documents.

A Negotiate prices, contracts, and delivery terms.

A Manage purchase orders from initiation to delivery.

A Maintain supplier databases (pumps, valves, membranes, instruments, etc.).

A Ensure compliance with technical and regulatory standards.

A Coordinate with legal, finance, logistics, and project teams.

A Oversee shipping, import/export, and customs documentation.

A Track procurement progress and supplier performance.

A Identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities.



Qualifications

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business, or related field.

A Certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or PMP are a plus.



Experience:

A 3-5 years of experience in procurement within the water & wastewater, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.

A Familiarity with ERP or Tally software.

A Strong knowledge of treatment systems, materials, and technical specifications.



Skills

A Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.

A Strong analytical and organizational abilities.

A Technical understanding of pumps, valves, piping, and instrumentation.

A Ability to collaborate with cross-functional project teams.
