Ensures that all procurement activities align with project timelines, technical specifications, and cost-efficiency goals while maintaining quality and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Sourcing:
Source and procure materials, tools, and technical equipment required for operations, maintenance, and project execution.
Identify reliable suppliers and develop long-term procurement strategies.
Request and evaluate quotations, analyze costs, and negotiate prices and contract terms.
Vendor Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
Evaluate vendor performance and ensure adherence to service-level agreements.
Maintain and update an approved vendor list based on performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Technical Coordination:
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technical supervisors to understand material specifications and technical requirements.
Ensure purchased items meet required technical standards and regulatory compliance.
Inventory & Logistics:
Monitor inventory levels and plan procurement accordingly to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for timely delivery and proper storage of materials.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate procurement records including purchase orders, quotations, and contracts.
Prepare regular procurement reports on spending, supplier performance, and market trends.
Cost Control & Budgeting:
Ensure procurement is within budget and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Monitor price trends and market conditions to mitigate risks and capitalize on favorable conditions.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a technical services or engineering environment.
Knowledge of technical materials, tools, and equipment commonly used in MEP, HVAC, or other technical fields.
Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Skills:
Understanding of contract management and legal compliance
Time management and multitasking in a fast-paced project-based environment
