Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Material Procurement & Vendor Management

o Source, evaluate, and procure fit-out materials (wood, laminates, veneers, paints, gypsum, ceiling systems, flooring, MEP items, etc.) with strong technical knowledge.

o Develop and maintain vendor database with approved suppliers specialized in interior fit-out.

o Obtain competitive quotations, analyze offers, and prepare comparative statements.

o Negotiate terms (price, delivery, payment, warranties) to ensure cost-effectiveness.

2. Supplier Coordination

o Issue Purchase Orders (PO) and Subcontract Agreements in line with project requirements.

o Ensure suppliers comply with project specifications, quality standards, and delivery schedules.

o Maintain regular follow-ups with suppliers for timely material delivery and work execution.

3. Material Knowledge & Compliance

o Thorough knowledge of interior fit-out materials (wood joinery, paints, glass, metal works, flooring, sanitary, lighting fixtures, etc.) including grades, specifications, and sustainability standards.

o Ensure materials meet client/consultant specifications and project quality requirements.

o Liaise with consultants and project teams for material approvals.

4. Documentation & Control

o Prepare and maintain procurement logs, supplier agreements, material submittals, and delivery schedules.

o Track purchase requests, orders, and deliveries ensuring timely project execution.

o Work closely with finance to ensure payment terms are followed and invoices are processed.

5. Project Support & Coordination

o Collaborate with Estimation, Design, and Project Teams to understand project needs.

o Provide alternative material options (value engineering) when required.

o Attend site/project meetings to align material delivery schedules with construction progress.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of fit-out/interior materials and finishes. Vendor sourcing, negotiation, and cost-control skills. Ability to read and interpret BOQs, drawings, and specifications. Strong communication and coordination skills.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Supply Chain, or related field. Minimum 2 years experience in procurement within fit-out/interiors industry. Proven track record in managing suppliers for high-end fit-out projects.
