Construction Procurement Officer, you will oversee the entire procurement lifecycle for MEP ( Electrical & Mechanical ) materials, subcontractor services, and equipment rentals. Your role ensures timely sourcing, negotiation, and delivery in line with project timelines and budget constraints. Responsibilities include:
Develop, issue, and manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Local Purchase Orders (LPOs), and subcontract agreements.
Analyze material specifications in coordination with project engineers and quantity surveyors.
Source and evaluate suppliers (local & international), negotiate terms, and maintain an approved vendor database.
Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and invoice accuracy.
Collaborate with Stores, Finance, Logistics, and Site Engineers to align delivery with site requirements.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, VAT regulations, and documentation standards.
Prepare periodic procurement cost reports, forecasts, and procurement status updates for management.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Elec / Mech Engineering, or Business Administration.
Minimum 3-5 years of procurement experience in the construction or contracting sector.
Strong understanding of UAE/local supplier markets and logistics procedures.
Proficient in ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar) and MS Excel.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
Familiar with contract terms, Incoterms, and VAT/compliance documentation.
