We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive

Procurement Officer

to manage purchasing activities for shipbuilding, repair, and maintenance projects. You will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of critical shipyard supplies and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery speed. Negotiate purchase agreements and manage procurement contracts. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory. Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to forecast material requirements. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies. Develop and maintain long-term vendor relationships. Monitor market trends and apply cost-saving strategies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or related field. 3+ years of procurement experience in a shipyard, marine, or heavy industry environment. Strong knowledge of marine equipment, spare parts, and technical materials. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

Preferred:

Experience with international sourcing and logistics.(online purchasing) Familiarity with ERP systems, MS Office Knowledge of shipbuilding processes and project timelines. UAE Driving License

Pay: From AED3,500.00 per month
