We are hiring a qualified Procurement Officer with a Civil Engineering background to manage the sourcing and purchasing of construction materials, equipment, and subcontracted civil works. The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge of civil engineering with procurement expertise to ensure cost-effective and technically compliant procurement aligned with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and assess suppliers for civil construction materials and services.
Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts with vendors.
Coordinate with project managers and site engineers to ensure material compatibility and delivery schedules.
Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure adherence to internal controls and budgets.
Qualifications:
Preferably: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Previous experience in procurement within the construction or civil sector.
Knowledge of construction materials, technical standards, and market pricing.
Strong skills in negotiation, cost control, and vendor evaluation.
Proficient in MS Office and procurement/ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
