We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive

Procurement Officer

with mid-level experience in both local and

international procurement and shipping

. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, an excellent command of English (spoken and written), and a proven track record in sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating international shipments efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Source, negotiate, and procure goods and services internationally, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards. Manage end-to-end procurement processes including request for quotations, evaluation, and purchase orders. Coordinate and monitor international shipments, liaising with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and suppliers. Maintain accurate procurement records and track orders to ensure timely delivery. Develop and maintain supplier relationships and evaluate supplier performance. Ensure compliance with all import/export regulations and internal company policies. Forecast procurement needs and contribute to budget preparation. Assist in continuous improvement of procurement processes and cost optimization initiatives.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. 3-5 years' proven experience in procurement, with a focus on international sourcing and shipping logistics. Excellent command of English - both written and spoken. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. Solid understanding of international trade regulations, INCOTERMS, and shipping documentation. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and procurement software/ERP systems (e.g., Xero or similar). Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.

Preferred (but not required):

Certification in Procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent). Experience working within [insert relevant industry] sector. Knowledge of customs clearance processes and freight forwarding management.

Pay: AED9,000.00 - AED11,000.00 per month
