Job Summary:

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required by the company while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of local and international procurement practices, supplier management, and Qatar's commercial and import regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives and project requirements. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers to obtain competitive prices and favorable terms. Prepare and issue purchase orders, RFQs, and RFPs in accordance with company policies and procedures. Maintain and update supplier databases and vendor performance records. Ensure timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining quality and compliance standards. Coordinate with finance and logistics teams for payments, shipping, and customs clearance. Monitor inventory levels and forecast future material requirements. Ensure compliance with Qatar procurement laws, customs regulations, and company policies. Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements. Prepare procurement reports and documentation for management review.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 3-5 years of proven experience in procurement, preferably in construction, within Qatar. Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Knowledge of local and international sourcing and procurement regulations. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office applications. Familiarity with Qatar customs procedures and supplier networks. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
