Job Summary:

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for joinery and fit-out production projects. The role requires strong market knowledge, vendor management skills, and a solid understanding of joinery materials and production processes within the GCC region.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and evaluate suppliers for joinery materials such as timber, veneers, laminates, hardware, and finishing products. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective procurement. Develop and maintain relationships with local and international vendors. Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production and project teams to forecast material requirements. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and quality standards. Conduct supplier performance evaluations and maintain an approved vendor list. Collaborate with design, estimation, and production departments to ensure technical specifications are met. Stay updated on market trends, new materials, and alternative suppliers in the GCC region. Prepare and maintain accurate procurement reports and documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering (B.Tech / B.Sc. Engineering) or related field. Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in the GCC region, preferably in joinery, interior fit-out, or furniture manufacturing. Strong knowledge of joinery materials, manufacturing processes, and supplier markets. Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Ability to handle multiple procurement projects simultaneously. Valid GCC driving license (preferred).

Pay: QAR6,000.00 - QAR6,500.00 per month
