Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented

Procurement Officer

to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the full procurement cycle--from stock monitoring to supplier management and logistics coordination. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in supply chain operations, excellent negotiation skills, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Management

Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels across various categories to ensure operational continuity. Analyze inventory data and consumption patterns to support accurate purchasing decisions.

Purchase Order Management

Raise and process Purchase Orders (POs) in line with stock requirements and ongoing project needs. Communicate with suppliers to confirm order accuracy, timely dispatch, and successful delivery.

Tender Costing & Supplier Analysis

Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to prepare accurate and competitive tender costings. Source and assess suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability to ensure value for money.

Logistics Oversight

Supervise the logistics assistant in managing customs clearance, shipment documentation, and tracking. Coordinate with freight forwarders and clearing agents to ensure timely arrival of shipments.

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain expertise in shipping and import/export documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin, Packing Lists, and MSDS for dangerous goods. Ensure adherence to all relevant local and international trade regulations.

Supplier Relationship Management

Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms in accordance with company policies.

Requirements

7-8 years of experience in Qatar or UAE in procurement of engineering sector. Strong knowledge of India & China markets. Experience in tender costing and supplier evaluation. Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
