Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



Sourcing and Supplier Management:

Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.

Purchase Order Management:

Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with organizational needs. Ensure timely delivery of goods and services by monitoring order status and following up with suppliers. Verify purchase requisitions and ensure accuracy of orders.

Cost Management:

Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities. Compare supplier quotes and negotiate to achieve the best value for money. Monitor budgets and ensure procurement activities align with financial constraints.

Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure compliance with organizational procurement policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory. Prepare reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost analysis.

Inventory and Supply Chain Coordination:

Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure adequate stock levels. Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed to avoid shortages or overstocking. Coordinate with other departments to understand their procurement needs and timelines.

Quality Assurance:

Inspect delivered goods to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Address and resolve any discrepancies or defects in delivered products.

Strategic Planning:

Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and emerging suppliers.

Risk Management:

Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure continuity of supply by maintaining a diverse supplier base.

Skills and Qualifications:



Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are a plus.

Experience:

Proven experience as a Procurement Officer of 5+ years. Familiarity with procurement software ERP.

Skills:

Strong negotiation and communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices.

Personal Attributes:

Ethical and trustworthy. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills and team collaboration.

Work Environment:



Typically office-based, but may require travel to meet suppliers or attend industry events. May involve occasional overtime to meet deadlines or resolve urgent issues.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):



Cost savings achieved through procurement activities. Supplier performance and delivery accuracy. Timeliness of procurement processes. Compliance with procurement policies and regulations.

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
