The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing day-to-day procurement activities across projects and operations, ensuring timely sourcing, cost control, compliance with company procedures, and effective coordination with finance and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle procurement of materials, services, and rentals for projects and operational requirements
Issue, track, and follow up on purchase requisitions, RFQs, and purchase orders
Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers to obtain competitive quotations
Prepare vendor comparisons and evaluations in line with company policies and approval requirements
Follow up on deliveries, lead times, and compliance with specifications and agreed terms
Coordinate closely with the Finance team on PO issuance, budgets, invoice matching, and payment follow-ups
Maintain accurate procurement records, trackers, and documentation for audit and reference
Support vendor registration, documentation, and compliance requirements
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and approval matrices
Provide general procurement support to operations and project teams as required
Candidate Profile & Requirements
Proven hands-on experience in procurement of materials and services
Experience managing multiple procurement requests across projects
Good understanding of procurement controls, documentation, and approval workflows
Strong coordination skills with operations, finance, and internal stakeholders
Experience in vendor handling with basic negotiation exposure
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, operational environment
UAE-based procurement experience is mandatory
Industry exposure preferred: Oil & Gas construction, logistics, industrial, or contracting environments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field
- Professional certification in Procurement / Supply Chain (CIPS, CPP, or equivalent) is an advantage
- Strong working knowledge of UAE procurement practices and vendor markets
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and office equipment, experience with ERP systems is preferred
