The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects. This role ensures that all purchases are cost-effective, timely, and comply with the project and company requirements.
Source and procure construction materials, tools, equipment, and services as per project requirements.
Obtain and review quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, delivery speed, and reliability.
Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, deliveries, and vendor information.
Track and ensure timely delivery of ordered items to meet project schedules.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to identify material requirements.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid delays or overstocking.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Assist in contract negotiations and price agreements.
Review invoices and coordinate with the finance team for timely payments.
