Senior Purchaser

Reporting to:

Head of Procurement

Position Overview:

Manage procurement activities for ship repair, maintenance, and shipbuilding projects. Ensure efficient, cost-effective procurement aligned with quality standards and operational needs.

Span of Control:

Supervise and mentor procurement team. Oversee day-to-day operations, including PO processing and supplier management. Develop procurement strategies with Head of Procurement.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Execute procurement process from requisition to PO issuance. Manage supplier relationships and performance. Conduct market research and cost analysis. Collaborate with stakeholders on procurement needs. Maintain procurement documentation and ensure quality assurance. Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock.

Key Competencies:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field. Experience: 5-7 years in procurement, preferably in industrial or marine sectors. Skills: Negotiation, analytical, communication, attention to detail. Leadership: Ability to lead and develop a procurement team. Technology: Proficient in procurement software and ERP systems. Adaptability: Manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: Up to AED13,000.00 per month
