About the Role: To procure raw materials, ingredients, packaging and other consumables related to Farm Fresh Factory Production and to ensure availability of all external goods & services to the business at the most favorable terms and conditions, which include timing, quantities and prices. Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement of raw materials including ingredients, machineries spare parts, packaging materials, chemicals, hygiene supplies, Processing aids, office stationary, other consumables for factory production etc. required in Processing Facility.
  • Coordinate with respective Line Leaders to order the materials as per specification, quality parameters, cost effective and within required period.
  • Sourcing of new suppliers for raw materials.
  • Develop, present, and implement after approval by senior management, effective Purchase strategies for supply of goods and services in assigned areas of responsibility that meet all company requirements for quality, timing, and cost.
  • Assist with the purchase of CAPEX goods and services in a manner that delivers increased value to the business, through improved cost, delivery, and/or performance.
  • Assist with the day-to-day management of the Purchase function, to ensure efficient execution of transactions while maintaining adequate levels of control, review, and approval.
  • Assist with the assessment, training, and development of staff members within purchasing team.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all customers within agreed areas of responsibility.
  • Develop and extend supplier relationships to deliver increased value to our business.
  • Manage the services required by Purchase Staff. (Clerical services and logistical services).
  • Ensure budget, quality & delivery objectives are met
  • Report purchasing efficiencies & plan for continual improvement.
  • Measure & report customer service levels and take corrective actions for all non-conformances product deviations, quality complaints etc.
  • Ensure all duties are carried out accordance to SOP
  • Accountable for price reduction initiatives, supplier evaluation and development, working within a purchasing system SAP environment
  • Highly stressful at times to meet internal processing requirements for cost, quality & delivery
Job Qualifications:
  • Educated to degree level or acceptable equivalent experience, with major focus in a business or technical discipline, preferably purchasing, supply, and/or materials management
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Purchase function, in similar industries, such as FMCG, industrial manufacturing. Applicants with Salt & Spice production industry's exposure will be preferred for this opportunity
  • Basic communication skills in English Preferred
