The Procurement Manager will oversee the procurement function for all construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring timely sourcing of materials, equipment, and services while optimizing cost, quality, and compliance. This role involves strategic planning, supplier management, and close coordination with project and finance teams to support successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning & Strategy
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and company objectives.
Forecast material, equipment, and service needs based on project schedules and budgets.
Supplier Management
Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and subcontractors.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve cost efficiency.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and monitor their performance.
Purchase & Contract Management
Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Review and manage contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Resolve procurement issues, delays, and disputes effectively.
Cost Control & Reporting
Monitor procurement budgets and report variances.
Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or project timelines.
Prepare procurement reports and dashboards for management review.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
Mitigate procurement risks by implementing contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies.
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and ethical procurement practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in
Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
.
7+ years of experience
in procurement within the construction or infrastructure industry, with at least
3 years in a managerial role
.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor sourcing.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
