Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced

Procurement Manager

with an

engineering background

to lead our procurement operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 to 7 years of relevant experience in the UAE, preferably in the construction, real estate development, or contracting sectors. This role requires strong technical understanding, local market knowledge, and proven negotiation and vendor management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute procurement strategies for technical materials, equipment, and services in line with project and organizational needs. Review technical specifications from the engineering/project teams to source suitable materials or suppliers. Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers and subcontractors, with a focus on quality, pricing, and timely delivery. Prepare RFQs, analyze quotations, and negotiate terms and pricing with vendors. Ensure compliance with project specifications, budget constraints, and UAE regulatory requirements. Liaise with engineering and project management teams to coordinate material delivery schedules. Manage supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure long-term collaboration. Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and delivery receipts. Conduct market analysis to stay informed on price trends and availability of materials. Support cost control and value engineering efforts through strategic sourcing and procurement planning.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

(Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field). Minimum 6-7 years of UAE-based procurement experience in engineering, construction, or contracting companies. Strong knowledge of technical specifications and procurement processes for construction/engineering projects. Familiar with UAE suppliers, customs regulations, and import/export procedures. Proficiency in procurement and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Zoho, etc.). Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. UAE driving license is an advantage.
