Responsible for supporting the end-to-end procurement process of construction materials, equipment, and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing in line with project requirements. The role involves vendor coordination, preparation of purchase documentation, follow-up on deliveries, and maintaining accurate procurement records. The Procurement Executive works closely with project teams, site engineers, and the procurement management team to ensure smooth material flow and operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparation of procurement plans and schedules according to project requirements.
Issue RFQs and request quotations from approved vendors for materials, equipment, and services.
Evaluate vendor quotations based on price, quality, lead time, and technical specifications, and submit recommendations for approval.
Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and related procurement documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services, coordinating closely with site teams.
Monitor and track deliveries, maintaining records of received and pending items.
Ensure proper documentation of supplier agreements, approvals, and correspondence for reporting and auditing purposes.
Coordinate with project teams and site engineers to anticipate material requirements and avoid delays.
Assist in monitoring procurement budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and reporting variances to management.
Maintain vendor database and assist in vendor evaluation and performance tracking.
Verify quality, quantity, and specifications of delivered materials and escalate discrepancies to the Procurement Manager.
Ensure compliance with company policies, UAE laws, and HSE standards in all procurement activities.
Support the procurement team in continuous improvement of processes, workflows, and reporting mechanisms.
Assist in preparing reports on procurement status, pending deliveries, and vendor performance for management review.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or Masters in Business.
10 or more years of experience in procurement within the UAE construction industry, with at least 2 years in a team leading role.
